Why Pitod's Products Have Lower Emissions
Pitod’s t-shirts and hoodies achieve dramatically lower carbon footprints—approximately one-third the CO₂ of a standard cotton tee and up to 50 percent less than a conventional hoodie—because every stage of our supply chain is optimised for sustainability. By using GOTS-certified organic cotton grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers (which cuts global-warming potential by around 46 percent and water use by over 90 percent compared to conventional cotton) and by partnering exclusively with factories powered largely by renewable energy and equipped with energy-efficient machinery, Pitod avoids the high emissions typical of the fashion sector. Rigorous third-party audits and full traceability ensure standards are maintained, so each Pitod product consistently delivers a much lower carbon footprint than industry norms.

Our Operations
Even with sustainable factories, we acknowledge the carbon emissions that come with our operations, from transportation to transactions and beyond. To offset our carbon footprint and make sure we are not creating any more harm to our planet, Pitod works closely with partners to implement carbon offsetting measures. 1% for the Planet
1% for the Planet is a global organization that encourages businesses of any size to donate 1% of annual sales to environmental causes. They promote reputable giving and accountability for environmental donations and provide partnership advising, impact storytelling, and third-party certification to make environmental giving easy and effective. Their mission is to increase philanthropic support for the environment, as currently only 3% of philanthropic giving goes to environmental causes. The organization was founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard and Craig Mathews, and their membership model drives critical philanthropic support to address urgent environmental issues. Pitod is a proud member of 1% for The Planet.
Eliminating Our Impact through our Partners
Pitod is committed to reducing our carbon footprint and creating a sustainable future for our planet. That's why we use only certified ethical and sustainable factories, and work with partners to offset the carbon emissions created by our operations. Every time you make a purchase from us, we track the transportation, transactions, and other emissions created, and use a portion of the revenue to plant trees and offset the carbon.
